TAX TIP: Bellas Financial Firm

Due to so many fraud and tax payer tax returns being done without their permission, IRS Is randomly selecting tax payers to verify your IRS return to get funded. You may also need to go through an identity verification process. Please do not be ALARM! This is perfectly normal and okay! Actually this is good news getting a letter!

The IRS may send you a 5071C letter, which contains a unique Identity Verification Service (IVS) number (CONTROL NUMBER), to verify your identity and prevent fraud. You can either call a toll-free number with your tax preparer assistance or go to the IRS's website to complete the verification process with your tax preparer’s assistance.

In addition to the 5071C letter, the IRS may also require other forms of documentation to verify your identity, such as a driver's license, passport, or other government-issued identification. You may also be asked to provide documentation of your income or other tax-related information.

It's important to respond to any requests from the IRS for verification information as soon as possible, to avoid any delays in your tax refund or other tax-related matters. Please always Check Mail & contact your TAX PREPARER If you have any questions or need further assistance.
