What I miss the most about my life before US are the festivals and the wonderful time spent with family celebrating them.

Dressing up all cute in new outfits, going to the temple, eating a BIG spread of delicious Indian food, desserts, and spending quality time with the fam - watching movies, playing games, cooking together, decorating the house and altar.....
Aaaah, I could go on and on😍🤩😭
Missing my parents and brother and my cute doggies today but happy to have my family away from home in my friends here in the US🤗.
The photos in Indian wear are from Diwali, 2019.

♥︎This quote (read: epiphany) by yours truly holds a special place in my heart for a couple of reasons.

➡️ This was one of the first quotes I wrote.

➡️ I had set this epiphany as a reminder on my phone, several times a day, reading which helped me tremendously during one of the worst phases of my life AND in surrendering to the present, to the universe and letting go of control.

The fear of the unknown has always made me anxious, to the point where I’ve reacted in ways I could have never imagined myself.

Fear of not knowing what was going to happen, or what the outcome was going to be didn’t sit well me.
I’d find myself wanting to control the situation, the outcome, without allowing things to naturally play out.
I didn’t like, AT ALL, not knowing that I was going to be safe, that the outcome would be positive, that things would play out exactly like I wanted them too.

I was too scared, of the unknown, of being hurt.
