I’m returning to Facebook but with bittersweet revelations. Since the beginning of April (and throughout the years) things have been difficult for me. I’ve had to endure some losses that really broke my spirit and I’m not out of it completely. I guess I write this to begin being transparent. Being open about my pain is how I’ll be telling deep stories-especially with regards to film/media.

In the past I’ve always been someone who’s depicted bits of my pain in my work but I think it’ll descend into something further as I come back.

I’ve been open about my tears, shame, and setbacks recently on Instagram. I’m also not afraid to say that I’m a dark person. This is something you’ll get to know very soon. Although I will post encouraging words or media often too.

In the end I hope anyone reading this feeling betrayed and broken by so much can resonate with me. Since I was very young, life has not been the greatest to me. I’ve been blessed with different things including friendships and family and good moments. But to be honest, sometimes breathing is equivalent to inhaling and exhaling razor blades. But it’s not all for the bad.

All this pain, all the torment, shame, and all the blood that I’m feeling from being deeply wounded will be used now as my art form. Someday it’ll come together to tell dark but powerful stories.

I guess this is just the intro of work that will be significant in the future.
