Our Horse of the Week this week is Heidi 💙

We want to say congrats to Heidi on her retirement 🥳🥳 She has been a well loved member of our community and has earned the life of a pasture puff.

She arrived at her new home today (first two pictures) and will get to live the rest of her days in a big field with some friends!

Our next horse of the week is the always popular Little Star 🌟

Little Star is a 2008 Warmblood who came to Meadowbrook in 2018. As you can see from the photos, he’s very good at his job!

He plays just as hard as he works and for that reason he is a big favorite here! Let’s show Little 🌟 some love!

Horse show weekend recap!

Both Meadowbrook’s middle and upper school IEA teams came in reserve champion at their home show on Saturday!

and also had a great home show this past Sunday!

Well done to all the riders, horses and coaches!

Job Opening: Executive Director sought for Meadowbrook Stables, an historic, nonprofit, hunter/jumper barn dedicated to top quality horse care, horsemanship and equestrian education, located in Chevy Chase, Maryland. The Executive Director position requires an experienced leader committed to developing people and teams, caring for horses and inspiring young riders. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors, and has overall responsibility for all aspects of the operations, including Meadowbrook’s successful lesson (approximately 275 lessons per week) and show programs (local and rated), community outreach programs, horse care, facilities and equipment management, fundraising and stakeholder relations (i.e., clients, community and the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission (MNCPPC)). Meadowbrook Stables is committed to a positive culture of teamwork, respect and integrity and seeks a leader who shares that commitment. Non-profit experience, preferred.
