Taco Bell once purchased taco insurance after promising everyone in America a free taco if the Mir Space Station landed in its intended crash perimeter. The core of the station would’ve had to hit a 40-square-foot target that read ‘Free Taco Here’, floating in the South Pacific. There were many estimates at the time of how much the prize would’ve cost Taco Bell, all around $10 million.
