Mandarin hognose update. Nearly two years ago, I began to hatch mandarin hognose (Lystrophis dorbignyi x pulcher) and have shared their progress. The oldest females are pushing 200 grams and will be bred next year. Their color is darkening, very similar to pulcher, although the sire (pulcher) retained his bright colors throughout adulthood.

First hatchling of 2025, a mandarin hognose. Didn't have high hopes for this small clutch as it was laid in brumation while I was out of town. Second clutch from the female is in the incubator, looking good.
