Halloween is over for the season, and back to being able to wander around Salem! Chestnut Street District is a beautiful, tree-lined street with architecturally significant 19th-century homes. This district is a National Register of Historic Places. It is worth a visit to walk the cobblestone sidewalks with the Federal style grand homes surrounding it. When visiting a touristy and historical place, it’s helpful talking to the locals and get off the beaten path.
