The Town of Cheektowaga is seeking an Assistant to the Town Supervisor. Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (occasional evenings)

Salary: $50,000/year + health insurance, PTO, and pension benefits

We're looking for someone with strong office/clerical skills. Experience in graphic design, social media, or video production is a plus.

Cheektowaga residency is required.

Union Pacific's Big Boy, recognized as one of the world's most renowned steam locomotives, will visit the community on Wednesday, June 10th. Please review the event details provided below prior to attending.

Public Viewing Hours:
🕘 Wednesday, June 10th
9:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Access to view the locomotive is ONLY available by taking the FREE shuttle from the Walden Galleria Mall.
• Park at Walden Galleria Mall near the Going, Going, Gone entrance
• Take the FREE shuttle to the viewing area
• Walk-up access is NOT permitted.

Important:
• Anyone attempting to walk to the viewing area will be turned away.
• DO NOT park on Harlem Road.
• Vehicles parked on Harlem Road will be towed for safety reasons.
• Please follow all posted signs and directions from event staff and law enforcement.

We know everyone is excited to see this incredible piece of railroad history. By following the parking and shuttle instructions, you'll help keep traffic moving, ensure emergency access remains open, and make the event safe and enjoyable for everyone.

New green arrow signals are now active at key intersections along Union Road, Losson Road, and William Street.

These improvements will help traffic move more efficiently and enhance roadway safety throughout our community.

Though the pictures are a bit fuzzy, the message came through loud and clear. I was truly honored to serve as a guest speaker at today’s girls empowerment series, hosted by the Cheektowaga Police Blue Bridges Initiative.

I posed the question, "Have you ever been afraid to try something new?" I concluded by encouraging them never to fear stepping into their true purpose, because that’s where my heart truly lies; in SERVICE.
