❄️ Cold Weather Heads-Up for Pool Owners ❄️

With freezing temps (and possible power outages) on the way, we wanted to share a few easy tips to help protect your pool equipment and avoid winter damage.

If you HAVE power:
• Let your pool system run continuously
• Make sure freeze protection is turned ON
• Moving water helps prevent freezing 👍

If you LOSE power:
• Turn OFF the breaker to your pool equipment
• Drain all equipment (pump, filter, heater, salt system)
• Open all drain plugs & air-relief valves
• Leave valves open
• Store drain plugs in the pump basket so they don’t disappear
• Place 3 half-empty water bottles in each skimmer

Extra cold-weather tips:
• Wrap exposed pipes or equipment with towels or blankets
• Tarps alone don’t prevent freezing, but they can help when combined with insulation

Freeze damage usually isn’t covered under equipment warranties, so a little prep now can save a big headache later.
