If you don't mean it, don't say it.

Quote from the book, "Hear God's Voice."
The first step we can take to humble ourselves before God is to confess our sins. First John 1:9 says,
If we confess our sins, He [God] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Let me emphasize that God does not want to hold your sins against you. Through Christ, He has made total provision for you to be completely forgiven and cleansed. But the Lord has laid down a condition: “If we confess our sins….” (1 John 1:9).
If we do not confess our sins, those transgressions continue to be reckoned or counted against us. The only way we can escape from the consequences and guilt of our sins is by confessing them. We simply must acknowledge, “Yes, God, I did this. It’s true.”

Quote from the audio/video message, "Four Truths for Life."
Anyhow here is my simple recipe for success, and I make no charge. You can have it the way I got it, for free. “Freely I receive, freely I give.” But I want to tell you, it’s worked in my life. 1 John 2:17:
“And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”
You need to understand what’s meant by the world. The world is all of society that is not submitted to the righteousness government of God’s King Jesus. The world can be very religious, very intellectual, even in a way very moral. But they are not submitted to the Kingship of Jesus. They seem good, but you begin to speak to those people, those moral religious people about a personal unreserved commitment to Jesus and something rises up in them, the old rebel. And you discover that beneath all the morality there’s rebellion. So we have to learn what it is to live in a different way.
