At True Homes, we do more than build houses. We create community.
Recently, the child of one of my clients went out to play and ended up in the home of a neighbor with several other kids, innocently hanging out.
The problem was the kid didn’t tell his parents where he was going.
Another neighbor— and client of mine — noticed there had been a group of kids playing basketball in a cul de sac and had a hunch maybe that’s where the child was.
Her hunch was correct and she went to the house and got the child to go back home.
The parents showed appreciation to my client — and her sister, who I also worked with to build her home next door — with a heartfelt gift.
We start out with houses. We end up with community.
I recently interviewed the owner of my favorite local coffee shop in Pageland, South Carolina, Jay Rivers.
