Plant Therapy

This is it! My last pop up is today till 4 at . Happy to be closing out at this fun event. I’d love to see you!!

This post is harder to write than when I announced is closing… Earlier this year my dad was diagnosed with dementia. My dad is a pretty private guy, but talking about things is important. I’ve shared my life with you all since 2019, and this should be no different. It has been hard seeing him change and also crazy how much it changes so much for our family. I need to be here, not only for him, but for my mom who is living this every moment. Right now, things are ok, and when I close my virtual doors this month, I plan to spend much more time with him, recalling memories for him and making more for myself and my family.

This is a time of refocus for me, and this is a major reason why. I have to be around for the people I love.

I’m thankful for you! I have so enjoyed talking plants with the many, many, wonderful people who have shopped and learned from me over the years! On this Thanksgiving, as I chop, stir, glaze, and spend time with my family, I will also be smiling and thinking of how great it has been getting to know all of you. I am incredibly thankful for the chapter of my life.

Today marks one year since my grandmother left us. She was an amazing woman and plant lady, and I want to take this time to remind you to appreciate your loved ones. When she passed, I started to really think about how I wanted to spend my time. While I was proud of everything that I was doing (working mom, business owner, actor, daughter, counselor, sister, wife, provider for four pets.. the list goes on), I realized that spreading myself thin was taking me away from the people that love me and want more of my time. So today, I give you another reason why I am finishing the chapter of my life.
