Today we celebrate Oshen Bland—a young woman whose journey with AN IMAGE OF ME has come full circle in the most powerful way. Once an AIM participant discovering her own voice, Oshen now returns as a dedicated volunteer, pouring back into the very program that helped shape her.

Oshen is a lover of children, a champion for mental health, and a steady light for every girl she encounters. As a 1st grade teacher, she nurtures little minds with patience, joy, and intention. And with aspirations of becoming a mental health counselor for children, she is committed to helping the next generation grow emotionally strong, confident, and whole.

Her presence reminds our girls that their stories don’t end when they leave AIM—they evolve, deepen, and inspire. Oshen shows them what it looks like to rise, return, and reach back.

Today in our HerStory series, we honor Gabrielle Davis—a woman whose heart for people shines in everything she does. From the very first day she joined AN IMAGE OF ME, Gabrielle stepped in with purpose, passion, and a deep commitment to making sure every girl felt seen, valued, and supported.

Gabrielle doesn’t just serve—she shows up with intention. She pours into others with a genuine desire to see people rise, grow, and elevate. Her willingness to commit, her compassion, and her steady presence have made a lasting impact on our girls and our entire AIM family.

Gabrielle Davis is a faith-driven wife, devoted mother of three, and compassionate mental health therapist who works from home guiding others toward healing and wholeness. As a proud Army spouse, she balances resilience and grace while raising her vibrant crew — a 6-year-old son, a 3-year-old daughter, and a baby boy. Deeply rooted in her love for God, Gabrielle is passionate about wellness, personal growth, and creating a nurturing home environment. She has a strong love for music and creativity, often drawing inspiration from both to fuel her work, motherhood, and everyday life. Whether supporting clients, caring for her family, or pursuing her own goals, she leads with purpose, discipline, and heart.

Gabrielle is the kind of woman who makes community stronger simply by being part of it, and we are grateful to celebrate her story today.

Robin Strayhorn is a woman with a true heart for the people—steadfast, compassionate, and always rooting for others to rise. From the very beginning, she has been a continuous cheerleader for AN IMAGE OF ME, showing up with unwavering support and genuine belief in our success. Robin is the kind of person who celebrates your wins like they’re her own and encourages you through every season. Her spirit is uplifting, her love is intentional, and her presence reminds you that you are never walking alone.

Robin Strayhorn is a Talent Advisor, Workforce Development Practitioner, and Career Alignment Specialist dedicated to helping people find their possible. With a background in recruiting, talent acquisition, and early-career program leadership, she has guided hundreds of job seekers—from first-time workers to career pivoters—through resume strategy, interview preparation, and long-term career navigation.

Robin brings a unique dual perspective to her work: she understands what happens in the hiring room and what candidates experience outside of it. As a recruiter and hiring partner, she has helped organizations strengthen their talent pipelines and improve hiring outcomes. As a job readiness coach and career strategist, she equips individuals—especially those from historically underrepresented communities—with the clarity, confidence, and narrative skills needed to compete and thrive.

Through her consultancy, North Star Talent Development, Robin specializes in transforming generic job search efforts into intentional career alignment strategies. Her approach demystifies the recruiting process—pulling back the curtain on how hiring decisions are really made—while equipping individuals with the tools and confidence to own their narrative, communicate their value clearly, and pursue opportunities aligned with their possible.

Her mission is simple but powerful: to break generational cycles by equipping people with the knowledge, strategy, and voice to move from job seeking to career building.
