Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer and, for many employers, the official start of a relaxed dress code. Because summer clothing can be more casual and revealing than attire worn at other times of the year, there may be an increase in dress-code violations. To avoid the increase in violations and wasted time dealing with he violations, be sure you have a policy in place that defines what is work appropriate apparel and what is not and be sure to remind your employees of the guidelines as the warm weather begins.
