One of the greatest parts of doing photography with Rise Productions is the honor of capturing these amazing athletes pouring their hearts into their routines. So many actions that many of us take for granted require tremendous effort and time. Things like jumping, standing on one foot, and running often take years of therapy for those with developmental disabilities. Watching these beautiful athletes memorize complex gross motor routines, and in some cases manage to do basic tumbling always amazes me because I know the tenacity required for them to master these skills.

This month I take extra time to applaud these cheerleaders as well as the coaches and parents who help them realize their dreams of competitive cheer. Thank you for inspiring all of us to reach past our limitations!
