🚨 $30,000 Settlement for Illegally Booting & Towing Semi Trucks in Charlotte 🚨

A Charlotte-based tow company has been ordered by the North Carolina Attorney General to pay $30,000 to truck drivers after illegally blocking and towing semi trucks — charging up to $4,000 to release them, even when drivers had permits.

The court has now banned the company from:
• Booting or towing trucks without property owner permission
• Charging excessive fees
• Holding commercial cargo
• Failing to notify drivers

⚖️ Violations of the new order could result in fines up to $110,000.

Starting December 2025, using boot devices on commercial trucks will officially be a felony in North Carolina.
