November is the Perfect Month for Extended Care Awareness

WHAT IF.......weather events, storms, etc just came with no warning and you weren't able to prepare for their arrival? WHAT IF...Heaven forbid you weren't able to get to the grocery store before the arrival of that next big snow storm. Life often happens just like that, with no warning, which is why it is imperative to plan ahead. The first step is to understand the issues and where you and or your family may be vulnerable. Let's start with the basics: 1) Do you have a Will, Health Care Power of Attorney, HIPPA Health Care Authorization. 2) If you have kids under 18, have you designated a Guardian(s)? If you haven't the State will. 3)Think you have enough life insurance? Do you know how much is enough? Where will those who depend on you be left if you weren't here? 4) Do you expect to live a long life? Who will care for you when you can't? Where do you want to receive that care? Do you have an idea of how much that will cost?
