Spectrum News 1 North Carolina came out to highlight two of our transportation team members for National Women’s Month!!

Special thanks to Ms. Harley and Ms. Jones for everything you do for the transportation team!!

Two women reflect on their roles in school transportation Lorena Harley and Ashley Jones both help keep the buses running in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

After closely monitoring weather conditions and in coordination with local and state officials, all Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) will be closed for students on Monday, March 16, 2026. Because this instructional day is waived by the Superintendent, we will not be using a designated make-up instructional day on the 2025-26 academic calendar.

Please note:
–All before-school and after-school programs (BSEP and ASEP) are canceled.
–All Community Use of Schools activities are canceled.
–Athletic events and extracurricular activities will be rescheduled. Updated dates will be shared as soon as possible.

We will continue to monitor National Weather Service updates and keep families informed of any district or school schedule changes through the CMS website, on social media, and via ParentSquare (email, text, and phone call), if necessary.

Draft Response to the 2024 Comprehensive Review Meetings:
–All community input sessions will be rescheduled. More information will be provided as to when the sessions will be rescheduled.
