Celebrating Superman's debut in Action Comics #1 - 4.18.38

[A pin-up I did back in 1988, no reason just practice [penciling and inking - probably still in my mostly Technical pens era🤷🏽‍♂️] The legend begins... "Happy Action Comics #1 release Day!"

🤔Stopped at the "Ollie's" store after work yesterday, haven't been shopping there long & never looked through the book section😶, so I was surprised to see what I did. I guess this is one of the ways they deal with excess inventory that doesn't sell. I'm not complaining - not @ these prices. I definitely have to go back for those Spirit volumes, but I did pick up a couple things. The Widow poster book - NICE!🔥 Some Capullo Batman 52 era trades and a Horizon trade - [diggin' Juan Gedeon's work]🔥👍🏼 Can't wait to see what else might come thru there😎

Here's another "unfinished" story done for Mark Davis' Landmark Comics in the mid 2000's. The character was called "Cardinal" I assume it's one of Mark's creations. I got to about 6 1/2 pages penciled before Landmark stopped publishing.🤷🏽‍♂️
