Funny story.

A few days ago, we set out with intentions to organize the playroom and the girls found their apron and chef hat and wanted to bake - naturally.

“First we organize, then we bake” I told them. (My fellow teachers - you know this first, then language)

we made muffins and the girls wanted to practice putting them in the oven so I was holding Ava’s pan with her and when she felt the heat, she literally THREW the muffin pan at the open oven.

Batter went everywhere.

She looked up at me and said, “baking is ruined”.

But it wasn’t ruined. Though it may have felt like it her little heart.

I gently reminded her that the moment it happened may not have felt good, but the whole experience wasn’t ruined. We tasted batter, learned to measure, worked as a team, and learned what oven heat feels like 😂

Here’s my picture to prove it. Those smiles are quite the opposite of ruin. ❤️

Kids will teach you to love big, that’s for sure! 💕
