Celebrate our nation's 250th birthday in Oakboro!
Are you ready for some great 4th of July Fun? In Stanly County, the 4th of July lasts for a whole week with the Oakboro July 4th Celebration. Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the 68th annual Oakboro event will take a full week of activities. Here's the official schedule... it all starts with the community worship service on June 28th and ends with the big fireworks show on July 4th! BTW - the community worship service will feature the Singing Americans of Stanly County! The Oakboro folks have a full week of great bands lined up. Don't forget the talent show, the Little Miss 4th of July Pageant, the Parade and the Miss Stanly County Fire Queen Competition! Let's make it a week of celebration!!! www.visitstanly.com
