There’s nothing more energizing than helping leaders and their teams see what’s possible with AI.

Thank you to AGC Oregon-Columbia Chapter for the opportunity, and to Mike for this generous feedback.

Repost from

Packed house. Record crowd. Good people.

Today’s keynote at the Associated General Contractors of America Workforce & HR Conference brought together 340 leaders, the largest audience in the event’s history, to talk about what AI really means for the people side of construction (well they talked about a hell of a lot more than that).

We explored how AI is already changing recruiting, retention, and workforce strategy, and why the winners won’t be the most technical. They will be the most experienced, curious, and adaptable.

I was excited to share a real workforce planning use case by an AGC pro to bring home how success is already being achieved.

The conversations in the room showed that HR professionals in construction are already moving from interest to action. They’re experimenting, building confidence, and using AI to strengthen, not replace, the human side of their work.

Tomorrow, I’ll lead a hands-on workshop where we’ll take the next step, building real workflows for recruiting, retention, and workforce planning using today’s tools.

The future of construction is not about smarter technology. It is about stronger people who know how to use it.
