We are seeking a Head of Carpentry/Carpentry Department Manager to lead, manage, and hold our carpentry team accountable. This individual will serve as the primary shop-floor leader for the carpentry department—overseeing daily crew operations, quality control, shop organization, and interdepartmental
coordination. The Head of Carpentry/Carpentry Department Manager is a working leader who participates in the build while also managing workflow, task delegation, and communication across departments.

Two recent examples: the Southern Living door, originally created for the Illumination event over the holidays, now lives on as a permanent installation at the Charleston Visitor’s Center. And the oversized tennis balls for the will be finished with a durable, weatherproof coating so they can be reused each year.
