Styling a shelf can feel overwhelming when you don’t know where to begin. Here are a few rules we always follow:
Add books. They add color, texture and height all at once — stack them horizontally or stand them vertically to mix it up.
Vary the height. Mix tall items with shorter ones so your eye moves around the shelf instead of going flat across it.
Layer in personal touches. Frames, photos and meaningful objects make a shelf feel intentional and lived in — not like a showroom.
Leave breathing room. Empty space isn’t wasted space. It’s what makes everything else stand out.
