Rover's Kids shared with me that they are always trying to show humans what we need to know. They said some of us just don't get it. Hug that neck that loves you more than life itself!

Rover's Kids love real food and if you rotate and include all parts of the protein animal with good fats like coconut you can do better than kibble. Hug those necks! Keep them healthy!

Rover's Kids thought this was interesting to share. Someone has put on a thinking cap to help end the puppymill cruelty. Sad it takes one step at a time to accomplish. Hug those necks!

Behind the cute pet shop windows, tiny puppies were quietly suffering—bred in cages and sold like stock while families thought they were buying joy. Today, New York has cut off that cruelty by shutting down the puppy mill pipeline and choosing animals over profit. Under the new rules, pet stores can no longer sell dogs, cats, or rabbits from large commercial breeders; instead, they must partner with shelters and rescues so every animal has a chance at a real home. Signed by Governor Kathy Hochul and fully implemented in 2024, this law is a major milestone for animal welfare in the state. It means fewer exhausted mother dogs locked in breeding cages, fewer sick and under‑aged puppies shipped out for sale, and thousands more rescue animals finally finding love instead of loneliness. When the law stands on the side of empathy, the system of cruelty starts to crumble.

Supporting Pets with Liver Disease — and Protecting Healthy Livers🐶🐱
Dogs and cats can lose up to 70% of their liver function before showing symptoms. That means subtle changes like mildly elevated ALT, bile sludge, rising bilirubin, or gallbladder dysfunction may appear long before a pet looks sick.
One of the liver supporting supplements you should have in your toolbox - Milk thistle (silymarin) has been studied for its ability to:
• Protect liver cells from damage
• Support regeneration of injured hepatocytes
• Reduce oxidative stress
• Help normalize elevated liver enzymes
When the liver is under stress, this herb can provide powerful hepatoprotective support.
💊For healthy pets, milk thistle is often pulsed during periods of increased liver stress (medications, anesthesia, pesticide exposure). Typical dosing is 5–10 mg/kg/day for dogs and 2–5 mg/kg/day for cats (standardized silymarin).
Today at 12pm EDT we’re discussing the hidden liver and gallbladder issues more and more pets are facing, what bloodwork is really telling us, and the supplements you can use early to support liver health.
