For the longest time, I always assumed she could never be interested in me. Not because she gave me a reason to think that but because my confidence was low. As a trans man, it’s easy to convince yourself that you’re not someone’s type, that you’re not attractive enough, or that being trans automatically puts you at a disadvantage but most of the time, that’s just insecurity talking. I’ve learned that confidence isn’t about having the perfect body, being further along in your transition, or looking like the guys you see online. It’s about recognizing your own value and not counting yourself out before someone else even gets the chance to know you. If you’re a trans guy struggling with confidence, this is your reminder, stop rejecting yourself on other people’s behalf.
