Know the symptoms. Having a support system in place is wonderful. Not everyone will have one. Many childless, single women out there. We step in to fill the gap when we can.
Ovarcoming with Colette 🩵
"My first symptoms were pelvic pain and back pain. I also had gastrointestinal issues and vomiting as one of my symptoms." - Colette experienced the A and the C of the B.E.A.C.H. symptoms of ovarian cancer prior to getting diagnosed in February 2018. Currently being treated for recurrence, Colette is Ovarcoming with the love and support of her family and friends.
Colette shared: "I have family and friends to support me. I have grand children and children who help support me. I have brothers, 3 grandchildren and 2 kids of my own. My family is a huge support for me, especially if I need a last minute ride. They always support me." 🩵 🩵
Please join us in sending our love, best wishes, and the spirit of Ovarcoming to Colette as she Ovarcomes 🩵
Keep sharing the B.E.A.C.H. Symptoms:
B = Bloating
E = Early Satiety or feeling full quickly
A = Abdominal &/or Pelvic Pain
C = Changes in Bowel/Bladder Habits
H = Heightened Fatigue

We lost this dear soul to ovarian cancer recently. She was an advocate, a chef, and a voice for those who did not feel seen. Please be encouraged on your journey.
On Tuesday, December 2nd, The Oshun Charitable Organization hosted a meaningful screening of the documentary Below the Belt at the historic Plaza Theatre in Atlanta, GA.
The film powerfully highlighted the healthcare challenges that disproportionately impact women—challenges that too often shape the quality and accessibility of the care they receive.
At Oshun, our mission is to support individuals who are currently facing or have previously experienced ovarian cancer. At each of our events, you’ll find us sharing educational materials as we strive to inform, advocate, and stand alongside our community during difficult moments.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Plaza Theatre for hosting this important screening and to everyone who attended and supported the evening. Your presence helps advance awareness, compassion, and meaningful change.
