OFFICIAL APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
The Implementation Universal Declaration of Human Rights (IUDHR), USA is proud to announce the official appointment of Mr. Joseph Farah as Country Director of the IUDHR Cyprus Chapter and Peace Ambassador at Large – IUDHR.
This distinguished appointment reflects Mr. Farah’s unwavering commitment to the promotion of peace, the protection of fundamental human rights, humanitarian service, and the advancement of justice, equality, freedom, and human dignity.
As Country Director, Mr. Farah will provide strategic leadership in strengthening the presence and mission of IUDHR throughout Cyprus by fostering meaningful partnerships with government institutions, civil society organizations, educational institutions, faith-based organizations, and community leaders. In his additional role as Peace Ambassador at Large, he will represent IUDHR internationally in promoting dialogue, cooperation, sustainable peace, and the practical implementation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

MOUNTAINEER DIES DURING DESCENT FROM PALAK SAR PEAK IN SWAT
SWAT, PAKISTAN: A mountaineer lost his life while descending from Palak Sar Peak after successfully reaching the summit, according to preliminary reports.
Despite heavy snowfall and harsh weather conditions, fellow climbers made every effort to retrieve the body. However, the extreme terrain and dangerous weather prevented them from bringing it down.
Rescue sources stated that the body had to be left at the site due to life-threatening conditions. Several other climbers were also injured during the descent and were subsequently moved to safer locations.
Authorities said another attempt will be made to recover the body once weather conditions improve, as rescue operations remain highly challenging at an altitude of approximately 5,300 meters.
IUDHR Pakistan Chapter President Meets Bishop of Iran During International Delegations' Visit to Tehran
TEHRAN, IRAN: On the sidelines of the funeral prayers for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, which were attended by official delegations from 80 countries, M***i Syed Ashiq Hussain, President of Peace & Interfaith Harmony for the IUDHR Pakistan Chapter, held a special meeting with the Bishop of Iran, a prominent leader of the Christian community.
The meeting highlighted the importance of interfaith harmony, mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and international cooperation among religious communities. Both leaders emphasized the need to strengthen dialogue and promote shared values of peace, tolerance, and human dignity.
The interaction reflected the ongoing commitment of the Implementation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (IUDHR) to fostering interfaith understanding and global peace initiatives.

IUDHR JOINS POLICE-LED CLEANLINESS DRIVE IN MANIPUR TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY HYGIENE
KAKCHING, MANIPUR, INDIA: Under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police, Kakching District, a Social Service and Cleanliness Drive was organized at Sora Bazar and its surrounding areas.
The initiative was attended by OC P. Priyobarta Singh, Commander Ishaque Ali, and personnel from the Kakching and Pallel Police Stations. Also present were members of the Sports Development Authority (SDA), the Sora Bazar Dukan Association (SBDA), and ML Zulfiqar Alam Sheikh, Coordinator of IUDHR Manipur and State Secretary of Sadbhavana Manch, Jamiat Ulama Manipur.
During the program, IUDHR representatives expressed their appreciation to the Superintendent of Police and district police personnel for their cooperation and support. Participants also appealed to the public to maintain cleanliness in their homes and communities, emphasizing the shared vision of building a Green Sora, Green Kakching District, Green Manipur, and Green India through collective action.
