For 37 years I have been a preservation contractor. I've been fortunate to work on many historic sites. Each one has a story. From places of worship to ranch houses, stagecoach stops to homesteads. These projects often ended by becoming public parks, museums and destination points for early California history. I recently completed the structural improvement and remodel of the wood building that surrounds the Balboa Park Carousel. This is the last project that my company will execute with self-performed work. I am shifting to consulting services for historic structures. The Carousel project was a fantastic way to close out this part of my general contracting career. Great customer, great MSC crew members and a result for the public to enjoy this national historic site. On July 25th the project celebrated national carousel day. It was a great pleasure to see so many people enjoy iconic historic carousel.
