So proud and grateful to have been the venue site for Rachael Etchison and Peter Smith’s Christmas wedding! It was magical when the bride and her father entered via our glass staircase and came down the curved aisle to the wedding ceremony held in front of a “forest” of lighted Christmas trees. Later guests enjoyed a coffee and hot cocoa social in the Grand Ballroom “lounge” created with the venue’s handsome furnishings in front of the 16 foot floor to ceiling glass windows. The reception following was so full of love for the new Mr. & Mrs. Smith as everyone celebrated together! Adding to the special warmth and cheer in the Grand Ballroom were beautiful, seasonal decor touches, spectacular lighting effects from our own Bill Lundeen and holiday centerpieces by Rima McGraw of Woodstock Florist. To Dawn and Joe Troyer, a big hug and thank you for being so wonderful to work with on your daughter’s wedding! To Rachael, the gorgeous bride, you are as beautiful inside as you are outside! A big shout out to the bride’s day of coordinator, Deborah and her sister-in-law Julie and their kind, helpful husbands and Scott, the youth pastor a.k.a. “Sergeant” and so many more — all the family and friends who helped make everything wonderful! To the guys and gals on our venue team for the event: Ron, Bill, John M., John B., Briley, Regan, Brenna and Jim, a big thank you!!! You all are the best!
