Homemade feeders for birds are a great way to creatively support our feathered friends during the cold winter months when food sources are scarce.

- Cut a grapefruit in half, hollow it out, and add three holes to the top edge. Thread the string through the holes, fill it with bird seed, and hang it.
- Thread cranberries, popcorn, or other grains, fruits, and nuts onto a string and tie the ends to make a decorative and edible garland.
- Cover a pinecone in peanut butter and roll it in bird seed to make a quick and easy feeder.
