🧵✨ What a fantastic Saturday Sew! ✨🧵
We had such a wonderful time making the Easy Does It Bag by ByAnnie! It was so much fun watching everyone's bags come together, and I absolutely loved seeing all of the beautiful fabric combinations everyone chose. Each bag had its own unique personality!
A huge congratulations to those who finished their bags during class—and don't worry if yours isn't quite done yet. You're well on your way to creating a bag you'll love!
A very special thank you to our instructor, Karolyn, for sharing your knowledge, patience, and encouragement throughout the day. Your guidance helped make this class a fun and successful experience for everyone!
Spending time sewing, laughing, learning, and encouraging one another is what makes our guild so special. đź’™
📅 Mark your calendars! Our next Saturday Sew will be September 5th. Keep an eye on our page for the upcoming flyer and registration information—we'd love to have you join us for another fun day of quilting and creativity!
📸 We'd love to see your finished projects! As you complete your Easy Does It Bag, be sure to snap a photo and share it. We can't wait to admire all of the beautiful bags, see your unique fabric choices, and celebrate your finished projects together! 🪡✨

💎 This Month’s Quilting Gem
🧵 The Secret to Better Quilt Blocks? It Starts with Your ¼” Seam!
One of the most important skills in quilting is maintaining an accurate ¼” seam allowance. Even being off by just a tiny bit can add up over multiple blocks, making it harder for everything to fit together correctly.
Another key to success is keeping your fabric edges aligned while you sew. As the fabric moves through your machine, layers can shift—especially when working with larger pieces.
📌 Don’t skip the pins! Taking a few extra moments to pin your fabric helps keep edges matched, prevents shifting, and improves accuracy. This is especially helpful for long seams, borders, and larger fabric pieces.
✨ Quilting Tip: Sew at a steady pace and let your machine feed the fabric naturally. Pulling or pushing the fabric can stretch it and affect your seam accuracy.
A little extra attention to your seam allowance and pinning can make a big difference in how beautifully your quilt comes together.
Finding and maintaining an accurate 1/4" seam is just one of the many things you will learn in our beginning quilting class. If you are interested don't wait, sign up now. Contact Beverly at [email protected].
💬 What’s one quilting habit that has improved your accuracy the most? We’d love to hear your favorite tips!
