Throwback Thursday: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (SNES)

There are some games that instantly take you back, and Turtles in Time is one of them for me. I spent countless hot desert summers playing it with my nephew and the neighborhood kids. We’d crowd around the TV, argue over who got which Turtle, and somehow never got tired of running through those levels together.

I was always Donatello. Partly because of that reach with the bo staff, but mostly because he was the brains of the team. There was just something cool about the quiet genius holding his own alongside the rest of the crew.

Beat ‘em ups have always been one of my favorite genres. There’s something satisfying about grabbing a friend, smashing through waves of enemies, and just having a good time. They’re still some of my favorite games to stream.

Once the move is behind me, I’m planning on firing up the streams again. Expect plenty of beat ’em ups, random musings about life, and probably a healthy dose of nostalgia along the way.
