Former Walmart president Marc Lore is creating a futuristic city called Telosa in a currently undisclosed US desert. Residents can now apply to live in the city, which will be open to move into in the year 2030.

The first phase will house 50,000 residents across 1,500 acres, with the ultimate goal having a full population of 5 million.

Lore has said that Telosa will aim to be diverse as the "most open, most fair and most inclusive city in the world."
