Copy (DOB 12/31/2025) is ready for immediate adoption!

Copy might just be the most entertaining kitten in town! Not only will she keep you laughing at her silly expressions, but her playful attitude will keep both of you on your toes. Copy’s favorite toy happens to be her own tail—which she’ll chase in determined little circles until she either sits on it or proudly captures it. She rockets across the room chasing springs and anything else that moves, and she considers every cardboard box a personal invitation to investigate.
Curious, playful, and delightfully silly, Copy is ready to rocket into your life bringing laughter and plenty of love.

Copy is considered a special needs kitten with a suspected diagnosis of megacolon. She is currently doing well on a consistent management routine, which includes daily medication given about 15 minutes before meals. She requires a wet food diet with added water to support healthy digestion. With this routine, she has been maintaining regular bowel movements.

Her future adopter should be comfortable continuing this care and aware that, despite best management, she may require additional support—such as occasional veterinary care or enemas—throughout her life.

Copy doesn’t let any of this slow her down—she is full of life, joy, and personality. She’s simply looking for a home that understands her needs and is ready to love her exactly as she is.

Copy is spayed and vaccinated. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She also has a pre-registered microchip.

At Six Kittens Rescue, one of our core values is education. We believe that improving outcomes for vulnerable kittens requires more than rescue—it requires research, innovation, and a commitment to expanding what we know about feline neonatal medicine.

We're incredibly proud to celebrate the publication of new research co-authored by our board veterinarian, Dr. Vanna Dickerson, describing a minimally invasive surgical approach for treating pectus excavatum in kittens, a congenital chest wall deformity that can severely impact breathing and quality of life.

What makes this work especially meaningful to us is that at least one of the kittens included in this case series came through Six Kittens Rescue and that lifesaving surgery was funded by Orphan Kitten Club. That kitten's journey not only received lifesaving care but also contributed to knowledge that may help countless kittens in the future.

Research focused specifically on feline neonates and pediatric cats remains critically underrepresented in veterinary medicine. We are especially grateful to organizations like Orphan Kitten Club and people like kittenxlady, whose commitment to funding feline neonatal research helps make studies like this possible, and to institutions such as Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences that continue to invest in advancing kitten medicine through clinical research, education, and collaboration.

Progress happens when clinicians, researchers, shelters, rescues, and foster families work together. We are honored to have team members like Dr. Dickerson helping lead that effort and contributing to a future where more kittens have access to evidence-based care.

💜 Because every kitten deserves the benefit of knowledge.

🌮✨ It’s always 5 o’clock somewhere… and apparently also feeding time. ✨🍹

Introducing the Viva Litter: Taco Tuesday and Margarita — two tiny Tex-Mex party animals bringing chaos, cuddles, and questionable decision-making directly to your living room.
These two are deeply bonded and absolutely must be adopted together. Honestly, separating them would probably violate several international treaties and at least one unwritten kitten law.

Whether they’re wrestling, zooming through tunnels, plotting nonsense together, or curled up side-by-side for a nap, they are very much a packaged deal.

Warning: side effects may include spontaneous baby talk, sharing your shower with an uninvited audience, and suddenly referring to your cats as “the children.” 🌮🐾🍹

Margarita (DOB 3/17) will be ready for her forever home on June 17th.

Like her beverage namesake, Margarita might come across as just a little bit salty at first…but within a sip - err, moment - or two, her true sweetness shines through.

While initially slightly timid and shy, Margarita quickly adapts to new environments, people, and adult cats. She adores playing with crinkle toys and springs, but her favorite pastimes are wrestling with her brother, Taco Tuesday, attacking (but not so much playing IN) her cat tunnel, and frolicking in a freshly rinsed shower. When apart for longer than a few minutes, she greets her foster family with nose taps and head rubs, and she loves having her ears rubbed and her tummy scratched.

Upon adoption, Margarita will be spayed and vaccinated. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She also has a pre-registered microchip.
