White women hold roughly 63% of DEI leadership roles and are the largest documented beneficiaries of affirmative action. Yet the whole concept gets pathologized because of its imagined proximity to Black progress. Crazy how that works, right?

Gender/Sex was added to federal affirmative action in 1967 by Executive Order 11375. That amendment is the doorway white women walked through. Then Grutter and Fisher sued to burn the doorway down behind them. Every accusation is a confession.
Since 2020, more Black people have been killed by police than when George Floyd died. This trend challenges notions of hope and progression. We must question the sources and efficacy of the hope we're given, especially when facts contradict it.
