Sometimes, we may feel like our questions are too simple or that we should already know the answer. But here’s the truth: It’s completely okay to ask questions! You’d be surprised at how many people are wondering the same things but may feel too shy to ask. We all have moments where we need clarity or guidance, and asking is the first step toward growth.

If you have a question on your heart, don’t hesitate to ask. Whether it’s something you’ve been wondering about or something that’s been on your mind for a while—asking helps you and could also be exactly what someone else needs to hear.

Here’s a question to start the conversation:

Q: "How often should I pray?"
A: There’s no set rule for how often you should pray, but the Bible encourages us to pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Making prayer a consistent part of your day is key. Whether it’s in the morning, throughout the day, or before bed, find time to connect with God.

🖤 What’s one fitness habit you’re committing to for the next 40 days? Drop it in the comments!

Just as Ash Wednesday marks a fresh start in faith, it’s also an opportunity to reset our mindset about health.

Fasting and discipline aren’t just spiritual—they build strength, endurance, and self-control (1 Corinthians 9:27). Use today to ask yourself:
• Am I caring for my body as God’s temple?
• How can I make small, sustainable changes to honor my health?

Consider giving up an unhealthy habit for Lent—whether it’s negative self-talk, overindulgence, or skipping workouts. A healthier you starts with small, intentional steps!

Why Did Jesus Fast for 40 Days & 40 Nights?

Before Jesus began His ministry, He spent 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness fasting and praying (Matthew 4:1-11). During this time, He was tempted by Satan but remained faithful, showing us the power of discipline, dependence on God, and victory over temptation.

This moment mirrors other significant 40-day periods in the Bible—like Moses on Mount Sinai (Exodus 34:28) and Noah’s flood (Genesis 7:12). It reminds us that seasons of testing prepare us for greater purpose!

As we reflect on this, ask yourself:
• How can I grow spiritually through discipline?
• What temptations do I need to overcome?
• How can I rely on God more in my daily life?

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. It’s a day of reflection, repentance, and recognizing our need for God. Many Christians attend services where ashes are placed on their foreheads as a symbol of humility and a reminder that “from dust you came, and to dust you shall return” (Genesis 3:19).

Lent is the 40-day season (not counting Sundays) leading up to Easter. It represents the 40 days Jesus fasted in the wilderness and is a time for prayer, fasting, and spiritual growth. Many people give up something or commit to new spiritual habits to draw closer to God.

Simply put:

Ash Wednesday is day one of Lent.
Lent is the entire season of preparation for Easter.
Not all Christians observe these traditions, but the focus is always the same—repentance, renewal, and drawing closer to God.

Do you participate in Lent? Why or why not?

I never knew what Lent was, but was always intrigued when I saw people walking around with ash on their forehead ... Now I know and I am sharing with you just in case you are new to all this. It’s okay to have questions, and it’s okay to not know everything. That’s exactly why I do what I do—to create a space where you can learn, grow, and ask without fear of judgment.

What Is Ash Wednesday & Should You Observe It?

If you’re new to Christianity, you might hear people talk about Ash Wednesday and wonder what it means. Not all Christians observe it, but here’s a simple breakdown:

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a 40-day period leading up to Easter. It’s a time for reflection, prayer, and drawing closer to God. Many churches place ashes on people’s foreheads as a symbol of repentance (turning away from sin) and remembering that life on earth is temporary.

But do you have to observe it? Not necessarily! The Bible doesn’t command Ash Wednesday, but it does encourage us to humble ourselves, seek God, and grow in our faith (James 4:8).

Ways You Can Observe It (Even If Your Church Doesn’t Do Ash Wednesday):

•Spend extra time in prayer, asking God to help you grow spiritually.
•Read a Bible passage about repentance, like Psalm 51.
•Fast from something (like social media or sweets) to focus more on God.
•Do a random act of kindness to reflect God’s love.

Observing Ash Wednesday isn’t about a ritual—it’s about the heart behind it. If it helps you grow in faith, great! If not, you can still seek God daily in your own way.

Have you ever observed Ash Wednesday? Let me know your thoughts!
