We are proud to announce that Posh, owned by Kelsey Galloway, and ridden by Tommy Powell, earned her first official NRHA check this past weekend in Katy, Texas. The Summer Slide is a favorite show of Tommy’s and it was great to see this novice mare succeed at the open level! She was top 5 in Novice Horse Open and never missed a beat. Tommy just cruised her through on a loose rein and she really enjoyed herself! Next stop for Posh and Tommy is Paint World! We are so excited. Thanks Kelsey, Travis and Melrose for your trust in PPH and putting your darling mare in our program.

Remembering the fallen on Memorial Day from Powell Performance Horses! Melrose and Rocker proudly wore their Stars and Stripes today and rode better than EVER before, in their lesson with Tommy. She is ready for her reining camp in north Texas next weekend and we think she’s ready for short stirrup classes at the NRHA level. You should have seen those lead changes!
