What a whirlwind!

We just wrapped up a multi-day project for a client who moved back into her home after a fire. She needed to move as quickly as possible as she was starting a new job AND getting her apartment ready to list. We were under pressure to meet her deadline for realtor photos. When The Order Edit stepped in, there were over 60 personally packed boxes, 65 more boxes packed by her emergency movers and 80+ garment bags that were delivered filled with clothing, linens and curtains for her and her two children's rooms and closets.

We worked tirelessly across 5 days to bring her apartment back to life and ready to list. Sharing a few before + after images below.

PRO TIP OF THE DAY!

Do you feel the urge to declutter and reorganize, but immediately shut down when you try to figure out where to start? We've learned that most people have one of two types of motivation - clean spaces that visitors see and clean spaces that you experience and move through each day.

To figure out which type of person you are, ask yourself...

What will motivate ME more? If my common areas are organized, so I feel comfortable for guests to see them? OR will I be more motivated to have my own personal spaces like my bedroom, clothes closet and bathroom organized?

There's your answer! Start small... 10-15 minutes can make a huge difference and when the change is visible, you'll feel the motivation kick in.

PRO TIPS OF THE DAY - Holiday style! We are about to hit peak holiday this week which means decor clean up is around the corner. Set yourself up for success next year by taking an organized approach to storage!

Label Everything: Use clear bins and labels for decorations (lights, ornaments) and store them with similar items together.

Add a Digital Layer: If you have multiple boxes of decor, lights and gift wrapping, create a google doc where you can list the items in each box, making next year that much easier to get into the holiday spirit!

DIY Hack 1: Use cardboard tubes like paper towel rolls or cut wrapping paper tubes into smaller segments to wrap lights to prevent tangling.

DIY Hack 2: Save the tissue paper from opened gifts to wrap your ornaments for extra protection.

Fun fact - Did you know you can hire one of our team members to overhaul your holiday storage systems? Follow this link to schedule a free, 15 minutes consultation over zoom. https://calendly.com/theorderedit/30min
