Obstacle courses are a great way to provide mental and physical stimulation for your dog. It can be anything from as simple as an object to jump over or an intricately designed space for your dog to traverse through.

You can create your own by cutting a hole through a cardboard box, placing down a few cups, placing a few chairs or anything else! Feel free to get as creative as you desire. Be sure not to make it too complex as your dog is just starting, practice makes perfect! Rewarding them through each success will certainly assist your dog along the way.

Here are some simple steps to get started:

1. Create an obstacle course with any object or material you may have. Start off simple!

2. Introduce your dog to the obstacle course to help them become more familiar and comfortable with what's expected by the course.

3. Use treats and positive reinforcement to encourage your dog as they navigate the course. Remember to reward them for each successful completion of an obstacle.

4. As your dog becomes more confident and skilled at the course, you can add new obstacles or make the existing ones more challenging. Keep in mind your dog's abilities and make sure the course is still safe for them.

Obstacle courses can improve your pups confidence, improve agility, and improve coordination. πŸ’ͺ
