According to lists released by community leaders after the school abductions in Oriire LGA, Oyo State, 46 people were kidnapped: 7 teachers and 39 pupils/students from Yawota Baptist school.

CHILDREN TO LEAD PRAYERS FOR NIGERIA AS CCC OKE IBUKUN CENTRAL PARISH HOLDS JUVENILE HARVEST

Celestial Church of Christ, Oke Ibukun Central Parish, District B Headquarters, Ere Province, Ogun State has released an emotional open letter to the public ahead of its 2026 Juvenile Harvest, declaring that this year’s celebration will go beyond festivity and become a solemn prayer gathering for the peace and healing of Nigeria.

In the letter signed by the Host Shepherd, Prophet Dotun Adisa, the Parish explained that the current state of insecurity, violence, kidnapping, and the continuous loss of innocent lives across the nation has made it necessary for children to rise spiritually and intercede before God on behalf of the country.

Quoting Psalm 8:2, “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength,” the church emphasized the spiritual importance of children in God’s divine agenda, noting that their innocent voices can provoke mercy, restoration, and peace upon the land.

According to the statement, the Juvenile Harvest scheduled for Sunday, 7th June 2026, will feature children taking major responsibilities during the worship service as they pray passionately for Nigeria, its leaders, families, and communities.

The Parish further encouraged members of the public to attend the service and unite in prayers for national healing and divine intervention, stressing that the nation needs God now more than ever before.

Referencing 2 Chronicles 7:14, the church reminded Nigerians of the power of humility and prayer:

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray… then will I hear from heaven, and will heal their land.”

The open letter reflects the growing concern among religious bodies over the security challenges facing the nation, while also showcasing the role of Celestial Church of Christ in promoting spiritual unity, hope, and intercession for the country.

As many parishes across the world prepare for the annual Juvenile Harvest celebration, CCC Oke Ibukun Central Parish, Ogun State has chosen to dedicate this sacred moment to praying for peace, protection, and restoration across Nigeria.
