Position Description:
Our client is a mid-market 3PL domestic transportation manager (DTM), specialized in food cold chain logistics with a much larger parent company engaged in food distribution. With concentration on refrigerated shipping, the 3PL services straight truckload and LTL, and builds multi-stop truckloads for customers. It is experiencing rapid growth and needs to build its team with experienced and outstanding people.
It seeks to hire a Director of Sales, 3PL Freight Brokerage Services, reporting to the President. This role responsible for developing strategic, enterprise-level accounts. This is an enviable sales position, given a myriad of customer relationships within the parent company among food manufacturers and distributors.
The right candidate will demonstrate success in developing enterprise-level accounts for freight brokerage and transportation management, knowledge of pricing methods, and a solid understanding of food cold chain logistics. The Director of Sales will have responsibility to hire and develop account sales resources.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic planning for business development.
• Develop strategic account development targets based on company service strengths.
• Pursue direct sales with strategic targets and bid to secure enterprise-level contracts.
• Establish relationships with sister companies for enterprise account development.
• Sell services with a focus on value-added services, not purely price-based selling.
• Lead new business development beyond the existing customer base.
• Hire and develop account sales personnel.
• Set sales policies and procedures to promote continued growth and expansion.
• Manage the sales cycle, including targeting, lead generation, qualification, pricing, proposal and closure.
• Recommend IT systems enhancements for operations, sales and customer relationship management.
• Establish sales plans and operating budgets and recommend investments for growth.
• Implement policies and procedures to a high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Position Requirements:
• At least 7 years of DTM and freight brokerage experience including both operations and sales.
• Demonstrated success in strategic account sales and development, not just transactional sales.
• Experience with food cold chain logistics and transportation requirements.
• Proven track record of negotiating, selling and closing enterprise-level service contracts.
• Demonstrated understanding of consultative sales approach and selling value added services.
• Entrepreneurial spirit for leadership and ability to collaborate with operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM.
• Willingness to travel over 25% for key account relationship management.
• College degree preferred in Supply Chain/Logistics or Business Management.

Position Description:
Our mid-sized Freight Brokerage 3PL client seeks to hire an experienced Carrier Sales Specialist for its office in Phoenix AZ. The freight brokerage business is a division of a much larger shipper, which it serves on a third-party basis. The 3PL is actively expanding its scope to serve suppliers and other shippers by building multi-stop truckloads and straight truckloads in the western states and beyond. It is experiencing rapid growth and needs to build its team with experienced and outstanding people.

This role is responsible for procuring carrier capacity at advantageous rates for refrigerated trucking, dry van and flatbed. It supports account teams by sourcing carriers based on customer needs, negotiating rate contracts, and managing carrier service delivery and compliance.

It is expected that candidates will have at least 5 years of work experience in carrier procurement with established carrier relationships.

Our client, a developer and marketer of footwear and handbags products in Ohio seeks to hire a Director of Logistics. This role manages the supply chain process from the point that goods leave the factories through delivery to the customer. This role oversees the compliance, distribution, customs, and customer compliance support functions, and provides direction and support to Team Members within these functions. This role works with third party logistics providers and oversees domestic distribution of product to major retailers and consumers via eCommerce.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage a multi-site network for distribution of footwear and accessory bags to retailers and end-consumers.
• Collaborate with the SVP of Logistics to design and implement global logistics strategies for all sales channels.
• Support implementation of a warehouse network optimization strategy for retail goods.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the logistics team, set performance goals and provide on-going coaching.
• Lead the development of RFI/RFPs to source ocean freight capacity and negotiate forwarding contracts.

• Conduct quarterly business reviews with core logistics service providers to ensure service requirements are met.

Position Requirements:
• 10 to 15 years of experience in Logistics leadership roles in retail goods distribution.
• End-to-End supply chain knowledge including ocean forwarding from Asia, compliance and customs, demand and inventory planning, drayage, warehousing, retail distribution, eCommerce fulfillment, logistics-related software applications, business intelligence and performance measurement, and budgeting.
• Success in developing RFPs and negotiating ocean freight forwarding contracts to support Asia sourcing.
• Demonstrated experience conducting outsourcing RFPs for warehousing services and managing 3PLs.
• Previous transportation strategic sourcing experience, encompassing multiple modes and sales channels. (Air, Ocean, Parcel, LTL, Truckload and Expedited)
• Strong customer focus and a track record of delivering best in class service levels.
• Strong financial acumen, analytically oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
