It’s not the moments we fall down that define us…it’s what happens next that determines our character.
At age 20 I shattered two vertebrae in my neck. I was warned of a lifetime of pain, vulnerabilities and limitations. But as an athlete with a rebellious spirit I was determined to carve another path.
Thankfully I found yoga shortly thereafter and the pursuit of healing and integration became my primary focus. 🧘
It took discipline and hard work but as years turned in to decades I’ve all but erased the imprint of this horrible injury. 💪🏻
Time and time again I’ve been told that an injury, illness or condition was permanent only to find a way to heal and overcome.
Broken bones, auto immune issues, trauma, chronic infections, hormonal imbalances…all overcome. ⛰️
When each of these hurdles appeared I turned inward, slowed down, and dug deep. I would set my sights on healing, seek out support and began inching my way towards wellness.
❤️Each time I’m left stronger, wiser and more compassionate.
❤️ Each obstacle I’ve overcome leaves me better able to help others do the same.
✨The body is designed to heal.
✨ So often it’s the lack of hope that causes people to fail.
✨ I suspect that a big reason my clients succeed is that I can meet them in their fear and discomfort and offer a living example of what it means to overcome.
🛑 Don’t ever let anyone tell you something is futile. If someone tries to smash your dreams or your hope; walk the other way.
I’m here to tell you that if you want a better body or life, its yours for the taking. It’s going to take hard work, discipline and determination. It may even test your resilience and your faith. But here’s the good news, your body is on your side. And if you hire me as your coach…I will be too.
