Made with a spectacular Guatemalan blue Jadeite; one of my favorite types of jade to work with.

Ultra translucent deep blues with a touch of that brilliant yellow iron oxide.

The yellow comes from a layer of rust as the iron in the outer rind of the stone oxidizes and pulls out traces of water from the gemstone itself.

I love working with the jade that close to the rind because you never know how the textures and colors will look. Guatemala blue tends to give off a vibrant sun yellow color to which i enjoy working with.

This is my prize beauty right now. Made with immaculate cascadian jade from Canada.

She's not quite finished yet. Much more detailing work to go but ill have her on a ceremonial shaft when she is.
