VRLC’s National Sexual Violence Law Conference (NSVLC) is now accepting proposals from attorneys, advocates, researchers, and experts interested in presenting at the country’s only conference dedicated to sexual violence law.

Priority will be given to proposals focused on:

Sustainability in the Work
Alternative & Innovative Responses
Emerging Issues

VRLC offices are closed today, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

We honor the Black women whose leadership and advocacy have been instrumental in building the anti-sexual violence movement and advancing justice for survivors.

As poet Lucille Clifton wrote, "Come celebrate with me that every day something has tried to kill me and has failed."

Her words remind us that Juneteenth is both a celebration of freedom and recognition of the past and present resilience and determination that continue to fuel the pursuit of justice and equality.

TOMORROW! Join us at Porter Square Books in Cambridge for a conversation with VRLC Executive Director Stacy Malone and author Nancy Bernhard.

We'll discuss Bernhard’s novel, The Double Standard Sporting House, a historical novel set in 19th-century New York about a brothel owner seeking healing and justice for trafficking survivors, and the ways women navigated power, survival, and accountability on their own terms.
