VRLC is facing a devastating $500,000 cut to our Massachusetts legal services funding. Hundreds of sexual assault survivors could lose access to critical legal support.
But there’s still time to act. The Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance (MOVA) has proposed The TRUST Fund, a permanent line item in the state budget that would help preserve funding and protect survivor services. We need your help to make sure it passes.
We urge all Massachusetts residents to contact their state Senators TODAY and ask them to cosponsor amendment #240 — The TRUST Line.
VRLC Executive Director Stacy Malone breaks down what these cuts would mean and shares resources for contacting your representatives and voicing your support in our latest blog here: tinyurl.com/VRLCBlog
