Nosson Zand

A group of college students met with the Rebbe in 1961 for a private audience and one student asked the Rebbe what the Neshama (Jewish soul) is. The Rebbe explained: G-D is Infinite while a human is a finite being. The soul is the means of communication between the Creator and created. Between the two, there exists an abyss, but the soul is the connecting bridge.
