Blessing the Land: Fundraising for Marodoka’s Sacred Ceremony ✨
For over two years, the GVI Madagascar base has called the jungle of Marodoka home - a place where conservation and community projects have flourished 🌿💚
In Madagascar, land blessings are a deeply sacred tradition that calls upon the spirits of the earth to bring prosperity and success to all who walk its soil. As the GVI Madagascar team continues to work in conservation and community development, they wish to honour this land with the blessing it deserves. ✨
To host this ceremony, the team are raising funds to uphold Malagasy heritage and ensure the continued success of their projects. Even a £1 donation can contribute to something truly meaningful. 🌍

GVI Kekoldi is helping the team at Hawkwatch Talamanca to observe the incredible Great Fall Migration, through one of their prime hawk-watching sites.
Sadly, the Hawk watchtower in Kekoldi has fallen into disrepair, limiting its capacity to monitor these migratory patterns.
As we start the new year, our team is on a mission to raise funds for the repair of this watchtower to increase resources for monitoring and conducting important studies on these vital raptor migrations at our base. With the hopes of starting the rebuild early next year, we need your support to make this a reality!
Did you know?
🦅 Our team of researchers can expect around 3 million predatory birds during this migratory season.
🦅 The birds are migratory from North America to South America over about 4 months.
🦅 The Kekoldi hawk watchtower is the second most important spot to monitor this migration in all of the Americas.
