Meet Jim, our chief architect of riffs and arpeggios, the keeper of our rehearsal space at Walk the Plank Studios, a classic‑car fanatic, and the only guy who can fit his entire rig in the boot of a Porsche. He also still insists the briefcase in Pulp Fiction contains Marsellus Wallace’s soul.
Jim and Phil founded the band “too many years ago to remember,” experimenting with rock and speed metal before pivoting to one‑hit wonders. A bottle‑throwing incident during “Bang a Gong” at Sunday River convinced them to rethink the setlist.
After 18 months performing as a drummer/guitarist duo à la The Black Keys, an ad in Melody Maker brought in new members and expanded the band’s sound.
