Gap to Caps Incorporated
As the 2016 presidential election draws near, we would like to bring light to the very important and controversial topic of voters with disabilities. In America today, those with disabilities are one of the few minorities that are still treated unjustly when it comes to their rights as citizens to vote. Oftentimes, those with disabilities are shut out or discouraged from participating in normal activities, voting being one of these. Fortunately, in Massachusetts there are several procedures and guidelines put in place to protect those who will be voting with a disability. One of the options for voters is to have an aid or assistant accompany them through the voting process including, but not limited to, helping through check in, preparing the ballot, as well as checking out. In any election it is important that all citizens have the opportunity to let their voice be heard through casting a ballot. In an election as close as the upcoming, every vote is crucial. We would like to urge you to join us in looking out for any fellow voters who may have a disability, no matter the type, to assure they are able to express their vote as equals this election season.

Hello All!
We would like to welcome you to our nonprofit page! Gap to Caps Incorporated’s mission is to address the gap in graduation rates between special needs and non-special needs high school students. We strive to increase the graduation rate of special needs high school students. Currently in the public institutions of Massachusetts, high school students who have been diagnosed with special needs have a 20% lower graduation rate than their peers who have not been diagnosed with special needs. This gap is due to the lack of funding and special resources allocated to special needs students in public schools across the state. Our nonprofit organization works to raise awareness and provide schools with the proper resources necessary for their students with additional needs to be successful.
In the near future we will be hosting several events to raise awareness for Gap to Caps Inc. so please keep a look out!
If you have any additional questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to email us at [email protected].
We hope you’ll help us crush the gap…one cap at a time!
