As many of you know, I had a run-in with the table saw over a week ago. After meeting with the hand surgeon, we hoped part of it might heal on its own, but turns out my hand had other plans. Surgery it is, followed by a 4-week initial recovery and then several weeks of physical therapy. AH Crafted will be closed for June while I focus on healing, and we'll slowly start reopening and accepting orders as I get back on my feet — or, well, my hand.
To everyone who's reached out, checked in, and kept us in your prayers — genuinely, thank you. It's meant a lot. 🤍

There is nothing more satisfying than watching raw wood turn into a luxury event piece. 🤤🪵
You guys ask me all the time how these intricate pieces actually come to life, so I’m taking you behind the scenes into the shop today! Watching the CNC router carve out this custom lattice pattern is basically therapy.
We always start with heavy-duty Birch plywood (because we refuse to use flimsy, hollow materials here 🙅♀️). After the machine works its magic, it’s all about the hand-finishing—sanding every single edge until it’s buttery smooth and 100% paint-ready. Seeing it go from a flat sheet of wood to a massive structural moment never gets old.

Before the CNC machine, it was just and a steady hand 🛠️ I'm still impressed by how impossibly clean these hand-cut edges came out... but my hands still cramp just looking at this picture. 😅
